Score One for the Boys Back Home!

Not to mention many of the other auto manufacturers dealing in the American market. Latest numbers suggest most manufacturers enjoyed a double digit gain in February over January as domestic sales increased between 15-20%.  Auto sales, according to industry analysts, may reach its highest point since the government instituted "Cash for Clunkers" in 2009.  Consumer confidence is returning, as well at auto manufacturers introducing redesigned products that appear to be grabbing customers attention. Even Toyota, after adding an additional 2.2 million units to their recall list, enjoyed positive gain for the month of February, showing the consumer confidence in their products is returning as well.

At this point I would like to take a moment to pick out a few cars from the manufacturers that I believe will continue to gain ground over the coming months.

Chrysler: The new Jeep Grand Cherokee's sales have been extremely strong, judging by sales numbers and the number of Grand Cherokee's I have been seeing on the road just in my area it is apparent that Chrysler is doing something right.

Ford: The F-150's sales continue to be great, with over 35,000 units delivered in January 2011 February's numbers should be even stronger.  Their new drivetrains and styling continues to pull consumers into the showroom.

General Motors:  Having beat out the Ford Focus in January, the Chevy Cruze continues to draw a following after replacing the aged Cobalt. The Eco version of the Cruze is powered by a 1.4 liter turbocharged EcoTec motor that has earned a rating of 42 MPG (test drivers were able to wring 58 MPG out of the Cruze Eco while running 55MPH on the highway).

Toyota: Even struggling with recalls and lawsuits, Toyota enjoyed an increase in sales from both their Camry and Corolla in January. These cars have an almost cult like following and will always have loyal consumers, however their designs lack "pizazz" and they anxiously await a face lift for 2012.

Honda: Honda's small SUV The CR-V sales exploded in January increasing nearly 70%. Whether or not they can expect this type of increase month to month is yet to be seen, however a gain like that is impressive to say the least.

VW: Anything with the TDI diesel with flourish. Although diesel fuel prices are higher, it's hard to turn down a vehicle capable of 51MPG.
